Syndromic Surveillance
For five years, AshLind Consulting has acted as a statistical analysis consultant to public health agencies in the development and operation of Syndromic Surveillance systems. We have also developed and delivered a fully automated, SAS®-based system which:
- retrieves emergency room data
- uses customizable searches to scan for symptoms of interest
- conducts spacial and temporal analyses
- provides summary reports
- pushes data into mapping software
- selectively emails results to the epidemiological staff.
